Position Summary

Clerks make sure customers have a great experience by keeping products available, greeting customers and offering timely, friendly, and caring service. Clerks also make sure the department is clean, well-stocked, and looks good. They ensure our products and practices follow all safety rules. Additionally, they help out in other parts of the store.

Union Position

Location: 1500 7th Street West, Saint Paul MN 55102
Schedule: Current shifts available may vary and can include day, evening, weekend, and holiday hours to meet department needs. Flexibility required to meet business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Grocery Experience: Direct experience working with grocery products.
• Retail Experience: Experience in fast-paced retail setting.
• Multilingual: Communicates in more than one language.

Physical And Working Requirements

• Frequent stationary tasks, along with regular movement within the grocery and storage areas.
• Frequent positioning is required to access both low and high shelving, equipment, and products.
• The job also entails the frequent movement of containers weighing up to 60 lbs.
• Center Store Clerks frequently handle packaged grocery items and may frequently ascend/descend a ladder to reach high shelving.
• Center Store Clerks will utilize various equipment including but not limited to a pallet jack and baler.
• This role requires exchanging accurate information in person and over the phone.
• Additionally, Center Store Clerks will occasionally work in a walk-in cooler and freezer and be exposed to sanitizer, cleaning products, and loud noises.

Salary

$17.75 per hour
