Center Operations Manager Head Start

About the Role
ADVOCAP's Head Start program is seeking a Center Operations Manager to oversee our Berlin Home Based, North Fond du Lac, and Ripon Head Start Centers. This role ensures child safety and provides structure and stability to the Centers' daily classroom, transportation, and other essential services. The position directly supervises all personnel engaged in activities at the designated area Centers and builds teams focused on ADVOCAP's core values.
The Head Start program prepares children ages 3-5 with quality early childhood education in Fond du Lac and Green Lake counties, while helping families reach financial, career, and educational goals.
Responsibilities
- Supervise assigned staff at Centers.
- Oversee all activities at assigned Centers, ensuring a safe, professional learning environment for children, staff, volunteers, and partners.
- Establish a regular management presence at the Centers.
- Coordinate daily schedules for supervised staff and arrange for substitutes to ensure continuity of services.
- Promote team building, corporate values, and positive communication among staff and partners.
- Participate in meetings pertaining to program service needs of children and families.
- Work closely with other Center Operations Managers and Head Start management staff to plan, evaluate, and implement continuous program improvements.
- Keep the Head Start Assistant Director and Director informed and seek guidance on issues arising pertaining to staff, partnerships, and other sensitive matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college/university.
- Three to five years of previous work experience.
- Successful experience supervising others in a dynamic work environment.
- Strong communication, planning, team development, leadership, and activity organizing skills.
- Ability to participate in training and secure certifications as required.
- Flexibility and capacity to manage in all areas of the Head Start program.
- Class observer certification required or willingness to obtain.
- Valid driver's license and insurance, as this position travels occasionally using a personal vehicle.
- CPR certified or willingness to obtain.
- Physical/TB/drug screen and comprehensive background check required.
- Reliable attendance and a professional work ethic.
Schedule
This full-time position works 36 hours per week, Monday through Thursday with occasional Fridays and weekends.
Pay
The entry/starting wage for this position is $24.19 per hour, negotiable based on experience.
