About the role
Join Best Friends Pet Care, a leading provider of pet care services with over 80 locations across 26 states. As a Center Manager, you'll lead a team of 10+ animal care professionals, ensuring pets receive safe, loving care and their families have memorable experiences.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily care routines including feeding, medication, grooming, exercise, and playtime
- Maintain meticulous records to monitor each pet's health and behavior
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a best-in-class boarding facility
- Handle emergencies with ease, collaborating with District Managers
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of animal care professionals in a positive work culture
- Create schedules balancing pet care excellence with budget efficiency
- Deliver exceptional service to pet parents, fostering lasting relationships
- Manage payroll, budgets, and financial reporting in collaboration with District Managers
- Coordinate inventory and purchasing to ensure supplies are always stocked
- Collaborate with a creative marketing team to promote services and enhance visibility
- Solve problems and adapt to challenges with professionalism and confidence
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Business Management, or a related field (preferred), and at least 2 years of management experience overseeing a team of 10+ employees.

- Hands-on animal care experience and a deep understanding of animal behavior, health, and welfare practices
- A proactive, organized, and adaptable mindset in a bustling environment
- Stellar communication skills and a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and lead
- Financial management expertise, including payroll, budgets, and expense control

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $65,000, depending on factors such as position, location, level of experience, and applicable state or local minimum wage laws.
