Center Manager - Best Friends Pet Hotel

Join Best Friends Pet Care, the go-to destination for pet care with over 80 locations across twenty-six states and 30 years in business. We’re looking for a passionate, hands-on Center Manager to lead a team dedicated to creating a second home for beloved pets.

About the role

Be the trusted leader for our furry guests and their families. Ensure pets feel safe, cared for, and loved at every moment while overseeing daily care routines such as feeding, medicating, grooming, exercise, and playtime (must be able to lift large dogs). Maintain meticulous records to monitor each pet’s health and behavior, enforce safety protocols, and handle emergencies in collaboration with your District Manager.

Responsibilities

• Set and maintain best-in-class standards for a boarding facility, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of 10+ animal care professionals in a positive work culture with open communication.
• Serve as a liaison between frontline team members and headquarters, facilitating collaboration and clear communication.
• Build schedules that balance excellence in pet care with budget efficiency.
• Deliver exceptional service to delight pet parents, build lasting client relationships, and foster loyalty and referrals.
• Encourage client feedback and champion improvements to elevate the client experience.
• Oversee payroll, budgets, and financial reporting with support from your District Manager and administrative team.
• Manage inventory and coordinate purchasing to ensure supplies are always stocked.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance community outreach, partnerships, and service promotion.
• Multitask in a fast-paced environment, solving problems and adapting to challenges with professionalism.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Business Management, or a related field (preferred).
• At least 2 years of management experience overseeing a team of 10+ employees (required).
• Hands-on animal care experience and a deep understanding of animal behavior, health, and welfare practices.
• Proactive, organized, and adaptable mindset for a bustling environment.
• Stellar communication skills and a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and lead.
• Financial management expertise, including payroll, budgets, and expense control.
• Desire to continue education and training with a dynamic pet care organization.

Pay

Salary range: $60,000 - $70,000 annually, determined by experience, skills, qualifications, and internal equity.
