We are searching for a passionate, hands-on Center Manager to lead a team dedicated to creating a second home for beloved pets, delivering unforgettable experiences for pets and their families.
Responsibilities
- Be the trusted leader for our furry guests and their people, ensuring pets feel safe, cared for, and loved at every moment.
- Oversee daily care routines including feeding, medicating, grooming, exercise, and playtime (must be able to lift large dogs).
- Keep meticulous records to guarantee each pet’s health and behavior is closely monitored.
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain a best-in-class boarding facility.
- Handle emergencies with ease in collaboration with your District Manager.
- Stay ahead of regulations and ensure every corner of the facility meets or exceeds Best Friends Pet Care standards.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of 10+ dedicated animal care professionals in a positive work culture that celebrates open communication.
- Serve as a liaison between frontline team members and headquarters staff, facilitating clear communication and collaboration.
- Build schedules that balance excellence in pet care with budget efficiency.
- Deliver exceptional service that leaves pet parents raving about their experience and build lasting client relationships.
- Encourage feedback and champion ways to elevate the client experience.
- Take charge of payroll, budgets, and financial reporting in collaboration with your District Manager and full-time administrative support team.
- Manage inventory and coordinate purchasing to ensure supplies are always stocked.
- Collaborate with a creative marketing team to elevate community outreach and partnerships to promote services and boost visibility.
- Seamlessly juggle responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, solving problems and adapting to challenges with professionalism and confidence.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Business Management, or a related field (preferred).
- At least 2 years of management experience overseeing a team of 10+ employees (required).
- Hands-on animal care experience and a deep understanding of animal behavior, health, and welfare practices.
- A proactive, organized, and adaptable mindset in a bustling environment.
- Stellar communication skills and a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and lead.
- Financial management expertise, including payroll, budgets, and expense control.
- Desire to continue education and training with a dynamic pet care organization.
