Center for Professional Development Adjunct Clinical Instructor Faculty

About the role

We are seeking qualified adjunct clinical instructors to teach on a per diem basis in our continuing education program through the Center for Professional Development. We deliver a variety of cutting edge offerings throughout the year, which can be found on our course schedule. The position is located at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences in Newark, NJ and remains open until December 31, 2026.

Requirements

• Current licensure or eligibility for RN licensure in New Jersey required.
• Offer contingent upon successful completion of pre‑employment screenings.
• If employment commences during flu season, proof of seasonal influenza vaccination required (unless a medical or religious exemption is granted).
• Must comply with any additional infection control and safety policies as determined by the hiring manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum Master’s Degree in nursing or related discipline; Doctoral degree preferred.
• Relevant content expertise required.
• Teaching experience preferred.

Pay

$100 per hour. The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, experience, expertise, and availability of department or grant funds; market benchmarks and internal equity are also considered.
