Responsibilities
- Create and implement an engaging Early Learning Program
- Ensure compliance with OCFS Requirements in a Licensed Child Care Center
- Provide unwavering support to teachers, fostering a nurturing environment
- Build meaningful relationships with families, ensuring they are informed and connected to the Early Learning Program
- Give tours to prospective families, sharing the heart of Our Children's Place and promoting community engagement
- Navigate the dynamic environment of a Licensed Child Care Center with confidence and problem-solving skills
- Utilize various digital tools for effective communication and organization
- Maintain a positive, organized, and child-centered program
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- At least two years of experience as a center director
- Under OCFS guidance, consider individuals pursuing their degree with a documented study plan
- Exhibit steady leadership and exceptional communication skills
- Be a confident problem-solver, adept at using digital tools
- Understand the importance of maintaining a positive, organized, and child-centered program
Qualifications
- Strong applicants who do not yet hold a bachelor's degree may be considered if they are committed to furthering their education with a documented plan of study
- Bring steady leadership, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of early childhood environments
- Be confident problem-solvers, comfortable with digital tools, and skilled at supporting staff, partnering with families, and maintaining a positive organized, and child-centered program
