Job Summary
Meticulously orchestrates and oversees the entirety of daily center operations, ensuring adept management of personnel, vigilant product oversight, smooth coordination of donor flow, and seamless functionality of critical resources.
Maintains Compliance
- Ensures total operation is compliant with state and federal regulations (e.g., FDA approved Standard Operating Procedures, OSHA, CLIA, and GMP)
- Hosts internal and external audits conducted by regulatory agencies and customers
- Participates in and reinforces the support for quality improvement initiatives
Operational Excellence
- Identifies opportunities for process optimization and contributes to the development of best practices
- Collaborates with relevant departments to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Ensures all certifications, including state specific licenses/certifications, are maintained, tracked, and recorded within required time frames
Safety and Environment
- Promotes Safety, Health, and Environment Policies & Procedures
- Ensures safety training and safety practices are implemented and followed within the center
- Mitigates and resolves safety concerns
- Oversees the performance of preventive maintenance of donor center equipment
Facility Management
- Ensures the facility is always well-maintained, clean, and neat
Qualifications
- B.S. Degree preferred
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered
- 3-5 years of operations and/or process management/supervisory experience preferred
- 3-5 years of people management required, including recruiting, training, etc.
- Experience in financial management and budgeting responsibilities is preferred
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry preferred
- Ability to speak, read, write (legibly and accurately), and understand English required
- Strong communication, organizational skills required
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required
- Experience with office software preferred
- Ability to work daytime and evening hours, weekends, holidays, extended shifts and periodically after hours
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods
- Ability to use a computer, video display terminal, and other office equipment for extended periods
- Ability to tug, lift, and pull up to 35 pounds
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as necessary
- Ability to focus and concentrate on tasks for extended periods
- Ability to navigate the office environment safely, including stairs and elevators (if applicable)
- Ability to travel up to 20% via airplane and vehicle (if applicable)
- Ability to use assistive devices if needed for mobility or communication
- Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens
- Ability to enter an environment with a temperature of -40°C for short periods of time
- Ability to work daytime and evening hours, weekends, holidays, extended shifts, and periodically after hours
