Cell Tower Technician - Apprentice
About the Role

Responsibilities
- Basic understanding of project documents and JHA paperwork
- Ability to read and understand rigging plans
- Basic understanding of RF and Steel installation/modification
- Perform various rigging tasks as directed
- Ability to perform compliant climbing techniques
- Ability to perform truck and trailer maneuvers
- Other duties as assigned (duties may change at any time with or without notice)
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Observe all company procedures and safety rules
- 6 months–1 year's experience in cellular construction and/or training
- Excellent physical conditioning and stamina
- Effective communication skills
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including snow, rain, and varying temperatures
- Ability to work as part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction
- Willingness to travel (hotels and per diem provided)
- Possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable under the company insurance policy
- Basic computer skills required
Preferred qualifications:
- Sweep & PIM testing & fiber testing experience
- Competent Tower Climber and Rescuer Certification
- First Aid & CPR certification

- Frequently required to stand, use hands to finger/handle/feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk, or hear
- Occasionally required to walk, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Frequently required to lift or carry up to 10 or 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 or 100 lbs.
- Able to climb to and work at heights exceeding 300 feet
- Good vision for close work, distance, color discrimination, peripheral, and depth perception
