About the role

Receive and document information related to projects. Perform various tasks to produce results as outlined in project objectives including innovating based on customer specifications. Provides technical support in the manufacturing process of the primary department. Aids in set-up of presses, tool design, powder evaluation, problem solving, equipment repair, and training of primary staff.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out defined tasks related to assigned projects in a timely fashion with minimal supervision.
  • Keep accurate notes and records of all development tasks.
  • Develop & apply innovative/creative ideas to further develop capabilities.
  • Setup and operate Mechanical/Hydraulic presses.
  • Setup and operate ISO press, roll mill, and hand presses.
  • Provide technical support in setting up of presses.
  • Operate sintering furnaces.
  • Test and characterize porous components.
  • Test and evaluate powders.
  • Evaluate and solve equipment problems.
  • Aid in the design of tools.
  • Machine parts using lathe, milling machine, and Drill press.
  • Set-up and operate EDM equipment.
  • Set-up and operate CNC equipment.
  • Train manufacturing employees in primary processing.
  • Characterize and test various types of material.
  • Provide statistical analysis for predetermination of capabilities.
  • Produce product to customer specifications and requirements.
  • Attend to attendance and punctuality.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate’s Degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent, required.
  • 5-7 years experience in manufacturing environment.
  • Supervisory experience helpful.
  • Experience performing various statistical analyses.

Qualifications

  • Metrology skills.
  • Excellent communication skills; (Oral and written).
  • Computer skills including MS Office Suite, Minitab.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology.
  • Training required after hire: Safety Training, QMS Training, Specific training pertaining to position.

Benefits

Total Rewards: Compensation range for this position is $48,000.00 - $72,000.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
