Responsibilities

  • Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gather parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Position parts and sub-assemblies using templates or by reading measurements.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and sub-assemblies.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Manage supplies inventory by checking stock, anticipating needed supplies, and verifying receipt.
  • Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Good working knowledge of computer skills.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: No experience required; 1+ years of prior experience in controls and instrumentation, equipment maintenance, manufacturing, or manufacturing quality preferred. Experience using mechanical inspection or power tools is a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

  • Activity:
    • Constantly (6+ hours): Stand, walk, twist/turn, stoop/bend, squat, kneel, reach above shoulder.
    • Occasionally (1 to 3 hours): Other tasks as requested.
    • Intermittent: Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Environment:
    • 100% indoor work.
    • Dusty/dirty conditions.
    • Medium noise (70–85 dB).
    • High vibration.
    • Exposure to mechanical and chemical hazards.
