About the role

We’re looking for an Activities Aide to help turn ordinary days into extraordinary ones. You’ll lead bingo, crafts, music, parties, and one-on-one time with residents, creating memories, laughter, and joy every day. Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and overseeing resident activities.
  • Plan, schedule, and conduct programs that provide physical, intellectual, social, emotional, and spiritual opportunities for residents.
  • Attend all community-planned functions and coordinate set-up, running, and breakdown of each event.
  • Help prepare and organize a calendar of events.
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings and every other weekend, to support planned activity events.

Qualifications

  • One to three years of experience in assisted living or long-term care, preferably with memory-care patients.
  • Proficient verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to encourage and motivate older adults.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated creative ability.
  • Strong skills in organization, delegation, and consensus building.
