About the role
STV is seeking a CE&I Project Manager in Columbia, SC to join our growing organization to manage SCDOT and municipal projects along with assisting in utility coordination throughout South Carolina.
Responsibilities
- Provide construction and contract administration oversight on SCDOT and/or municipal projects located throughout the state; either traditional design-bid-build or alternative delivery.
- Communicate directly with contractor’s staff to resolve issues in the field where applicable.
- Use Good Faith Partnering with the contractor on all project sites for which you are assigned.
- Communicate with the client’s construction professional counterpart timely, effectively and efficiently.
- Plan, organize and manage project teams comprised of the firm’s field staff as well as subconsultant field staff.
- Update the local Field Services Manager regularly with issues on the project or issues with internal staff or subconsultant staff.
- Review subconsultant invoices for accuracy and compliance with our contract with the client(s).
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the construction project to ensure compliance with SCDOT specifications, including planning, coordination, and execution.
- Evaluate project claims, delays and coordinate timely resolution with client.
- Stay current with all applicable specifications and standards.
- Assist Upper-level Utility Coordinators with Preconstruction Projects.
- Schedule meetings with utility providers to discuss conflicts.
- Field visits when necessary, during preconstruction phase and during construction, when needed.
Requirements
- 20+ years of progressive experience for non-Civil Engineering degreed applicant.
- 10+ years of experience for Civil Engineering and P.E. applicant.
- Preference of experience with SCDOT Policies and Procedures.
Qualifications
- SCDOT certifications in Earthwork, ART, Foundations, ACI, Level 1&2 concrete, Workzone Safety, CEPSI.
Pay
Compensation Range: $112,253.66 - $128,289.89
