STV is seeking a CEI Project Administrator (PA) to join our CEI Team in Central Florida (Lake Mary, FL area) or any of our Florida locations (Tampa, Orlando, Miami, or Pensacola) as part of a growing organization. Our ideal candidate should have experience managing construction projects in District 5 for the FDOT and/or local municipalities.

Responsibilities

  • Direct a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program.
  • Plan and organize the work of subordinate and staff members.
  • Develop and/or review policies, methods, practices, and procedures.
  • Review programs for conformance with Department of Transportation standards.
  • Lead CEI project pursuits, including assisting in marketing and business development efforts.
  • Manage and administer QA/QC program.
  • Demonstrate strong command of construction scheduling, proposal development, and contractor means and methods for typical roadway construction elements, including:
    • Clearing and grubbing
    • Environmental
    • Drainage
    • Piling
    • Drilled shafts
    • Retaining walls
    • Paving and pavement base
    • Bridge construction
    • Concrete and asphalt
    • Signing and lighting
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the construction project to ensure compliance with FDOT specifications, including planning, coordination, and execution.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications, FDOT standards, and safety regulations.
  • Communicate directly with owner representatives and contractors to strategize complex operations and resolve contract challenges.
  • Evaluate project claims, delays, and coordinate timely resolution with the client.
  • Develop cost estimates to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Requirements

  • Civil Engineering degree and six (6) years of engineering experience.
  • Two (2) years of experience in relevant transportation projects.
  • Master’s degree in engineering may be substituted for one (1) year of engineering experience.
  • Preference for experience with FDOT Policies and Procedures.
  • Communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing).
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida.
  • Ability to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state.

Qualifications / Certifications

  • FDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT).
  • CTQP Quality Control Manager.

Pay

Compensation range: $94,459.48 - $107,953.69.
