CEI Project Administrator
About the role
As a CEI Project Administrator at Mott MacDonald, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of construction projects. Your responsibilities will include receiving general instructions, preparing construction inspection summaries, reviewing drawings and specifications, managing a team of inspectors, and overseeing project records.
Responsibilities
- Receive general instructions regarding assignments and exercise initiative and independent judgment in solving work problems.
- Prepare construction inspection summaries of daily activities.
- Review drawings, specifications, and other contract documents for constructability.
- Manage the team of inspectors, coordinate their schedules, and oversee their work and records.
- Maintain construction project records in accordance with FDOT procedures.
- Interface proactively with the project managers, contractors, and inspection staff on various facets of the project including review of contract plans and documents, day-to-day construction activities, and review of contractors' submittals.
- Perform/oversee the review of daily inspection reports and quantity computations.
- Responsible for the progress and final estimates throughout the construction project duration.
- Track and measure complete work quantities for payment.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing).
- For personnel with Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management degrees: Two (2) years of engineering experience in relevant transportation projects. A master’s degree in engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management may be substituted for one (1) year of engineering experience.
- For personnel without Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Construction Management degree: Eight (8) years of CEI or roadway or bridge construction experience, two (2) of those years involved in relevant transportation projects.

- CTQP Final Estimates Level II
- CTQP Quality Control Manager (Attend and pass the examination)
