Responsibilities
- Inspect and document construction work for compliance with project plans and specifications.
- Complete daily contractor reports, detailing labor and equipment used, and any pertinent conversations with contractors.
- Aid in office tasks such as plotting cross-sections and computing earthwork quantities.
- Report directly to Senior Inspector and/or Project Manager.
Requirements
- Some experience in construction inspection, surveying, or highway materials testing and inspection.
- One or more of the following certifications as approved by the Region Engineer:
- Asphalt Level I Laboratory Technician Certification
- Certified Concrete Technician (ACI and ALDOT Certification)
- Roadway HMA Pavement Technician Certification
- Work Zone Safety Certification
- Radiation Safety Technician Certification
Qualifications
- Experience in construction inspection, surveying, or highway materials testing and inspection.
- One or more of the following certifications as approved by the Region Engineer:
- Asphalt Level I Laboratory Technician Certification
- Certified Concrete Technician (ACI and ALDOT Certification)
- Roadway HMA Pavement Technician Certification
- Work Zone Safety Certification
- Radiation Safety Technician Certification
