CEI Level 1 Inspector (Asphalt, Concrete, Pavement)

Responsibilities

• Inspect and document construction work for compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Complete daily contractor reports, detailing labor and equipment used, and any pertinent conversations with contractors.
• Aid in office tasks such as plotting cross-sections and computing earthwork quantities.
• Report directly to Senior Inspector and/or Project Manager.

Requirements

• Some experience in construction inspection, surveying, or highway materials testing and inspection.
• One or more of the following certifications as approved by the Region Engineer:
• Asphalt Level I Laboratory Technician Certification
• Certified Concrete Technician (ACI and ALDOT Certification)
• Roadway HMA Pavement Technician Certification
• Work Zone Safety Certification
• Radiation Safety Technician Certification

Qualifications

• Experience in construction inspection, surveying, or highway materials testing and inspection.
• One or more of the following certifications as approved by the Region Engineer:
• Asphalt Level I Laboratory Technician Certification
• Certified Concrete Technician (ACI and ALDOT Certification)
• Roadway HMA Pavement Technician Certification
• Work Zone Safety Certification
• Radiation Safety Technician Certification
