Level I CEI Inspector

About the role

This position involves skilled Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) field work. The CEI Inspector will assist the Senior Inspector in performing duties and will receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector.

Responsibilities

• Perform CEI field work
• Assist Senior Inspector in completing assigned tasks
• Receive general supervision from Senior Inspector
• Complete the Critical Structures Construction Issues, Self-Study Course and submit the Certification of Course Completion form (for structures projects)

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent, plus two years of experience in construction inspection, with one of those years in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection
• Engineer Intern with a Civil Engineering degree (requires certificate) and ability to earn required qualifications and certifications within one year
• Demonstrated knowledge in the areas of bridge and/or roadway construction inspection

Qualifications

• CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I
• CTQP Asphalt Roadway Level I
• CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I
• IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
• CTQP Final Estimates Level I

Preferred Qualifications

• FDOT Intermediate MOT
• Nuclear Radiation Safety
• IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I
• Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Training and Certification Program for Inspectors and Contractors

Skills

• Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) field work
• Ability to earn required certifications within one year
