Diagnostics And Repair
- Diagnose complex issues with heavy equipment powertrain, hydraulic, and electrical systems using computer analyzers and traditional troubleshooting methods.
- Complete complex repairs to construction, aerial, and earthmoving machinery.
- C Conduct detailed inspections to ensure equipment compliance and functionality.
Sales And Customer Communication
- Serve as a technical resource for customers.
- Communicate with customers regarding diagnostics, repair needs, and recommended service plans.
- Promote maintenance packages, repair services, and parts.
- Upselling and scheduling follow-up services.
Operational Support
- Write and manage purchase orders for repair parts and materials.
- Ensure all service records and contract documentation are properly closed out and cataloged.
- Maintains a safe work environment.
- Participates in all safety meetings.
- Communicates all concerns or violations to the appropriate manager(s) immediately.
- Uses the proper Personal Protective Equipment when performing work duties.
- o Abides by all local, state, and Federal laws; reads, understands, and agrees to follow the policies outlined in the Company Safety Manual and Company Handbook.
Continuous Improvement
- Assists in driving a continuous improvement strategy within the business to result in ongoing incremental gains in quality and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of industry-central software(s) (RentalMan, Smart Equip, MS Office (excel)).
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, powertrain, and electrical systems.
- Ability to work independently and maintain high-quality service standards.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused, sales-oriented mindset.
- Valid driver’s license required; CDL is a plus.
Education And Experience
- 5+ years of mechanical experience.
- Extensive experience in diagnostics and repair of heavy equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or technical degree preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move heavy components and tools up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors and in various field environments.
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina to work with mechanical tools and parts for extended periods.
- Ability to operate service trucks and diagnostic equipment safely.
Licenses And Certification Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record and the ability to drive Company vehicles per insurance requirements may be required on a case-by-case basis.
