Safety Focus
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving skills, and experience operating commercial vehicles and material-handling equipment. Experience with forklift, piggyback, or conveyor equipment is strongly preferred.
Essential Responsibilities
- Safely operate CDL commercial vehicles to deliver roofing materials to job sites and customers
- Inspect and maintain assigned truck and equipment to ensure safe operation
- Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely and efficiently
- Operate forklifts, piggyback/Moffett equipment, conveyors, and related material-handling equipment
- Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time
- Maintain all required logs, paperwork, delivery tickets, and reports in compliance with company policy and DOT regulations
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at all times
- Assist with warehouse and yard duties including: Loading and unloading trucks Restocking inventory Organizing materials and yard space Assisting with inventory control General warehouse labor and cleanup
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA/DOT regulations
- Support team operations and perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Valid CDL A or B Air Brake Endorsement Clean driving record
- Previous commercial driving experience required
- Experience with forklift, piggyback/Moffett, or conveyor equipment preferred
- Ability to work safely in a physically demanding environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude
- Ability to adapt to changing schedules and workload demands
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 75-90 lbs regularly and assist with heavier materials when needed
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and repetitive movement
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, and rain
- Safe performance of all essential job functions in accordance with ADA requirements
Schedule
Typical Hours Range Between 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Hours may vary based on delivery schedules and operational needs.
