Position Summary
The primary purpose of the CDL/Lowboy Driver is to operate a truck and trailer and to safely transport construction and other heavy equipment to and from different job sites.Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Ability to operate a lowboy truck and trailer to and from different job sites.
- Ability to operate a service truck when needed.
- Maintenance of company vehicles, equipment, and machinery.
- Keep job sites clean of all unused/waste materials and ensure all vehicles, equipment, and machinery are stored in a safe and secure manner.
- Ability to load and unload equipment safely and efficiently at various locations.
- Ensure all payloads are loaded securely before moving to ensure safety and to comply with company and DOT standards.
- Must be able to comply with and follow all company and DOT requirements and regulations.
- Ensure the practice of safety standards in accordance with company policies, DOT, and OSHA.
- Perform all other tasks and follow instructions as directed by direct supervisors.
Workdays & Shifts
Must be available to work varied shifts (days, nights, weekends) and willing to travel for extended periods of time.Education/Certifications/Licenses
- Valid Class A CDL with a Tanker Endorsement – Required.
- Up-to-date DOT Medical Card – Required.
Experience & Knowledge
- Two (2) years' experience as a CDL/Lowboy Driver – Required.
- Mechanical aptitude – Required.
- Heavy Haul Experience – Required
Other Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screens & background checks, including MVR.
- Must be in a union or be willing to join a union.
