Responsibilities
- Safely load, secure, transport, and unload construction and paving equipment
- Operate trucks in compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards at all times
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (fluids, leaks, safety equipment, etc.)
- Maintain accurate mileage and vehicle logs
- Ensure loads are properly secured and transported safely over designated routes
- Communicate equipment maintenance needs with the Shop Foreman
- Support field operations and assist with additional duties as needed
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A license with acceptable driving record
- 5 Year CDL A driving experience
- Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA safety regulations
- Experience operating or transporting construction/heavy equipment preferred
- Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with team members
- Strong commitment to safety, accountability, and teamwork
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, nights, and occasional Saturdays
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
- Strong coordination, balance, and stamina for active job site environments
- Comfortable working in heat, humidity, dust, and other outdoor conditions
Qualifications
- Must pass background and drug screening in accordance with federal/state regulations
- Must possess a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- 5 years of CDL A driving experience
