Responsibilities

  • Safely load, secure, transport, and unload construction and paving equipment
  • Operate trucks in compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards at all times
  • Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (fluids, leaks, safety equipment, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate mileage and vehicle logs
  • Ensure loads are properly secured and transported safely over designated routes
  • Communicate equipment maintenance needs with the Shop Foreman
  • Support field operations and assist with additional duties as needed

Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A license with acceptable driving record
  • 5 Year CDL A driving experience
  • Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA safety regulations
  • Experience operating or transporting construction/heavy equipment preferred
  • Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively with team members
  • Strong commitment to safety, accountability, and teamwork
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, nights, and occasional Saturdays
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and push/pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
  • Strong coordination, balance, and stamina for active job site environments
  • Comfortable working in heat, humidity, dust, and other outdoor conditions

Qualifications

  • Must pass background and drug screening in accordance with federal/state regulations
  • Must possess a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 5 years of CDL A driving experience
