CDL Local Driver

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a 5-day work week (Monday - Saturday), starting between 3am-5am. Drivers average 45+ hours per week and return home daily.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled delivery times
• Carefully unload products using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand, and place in designated customer storage areas
• Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain proper signatures
• Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable
• Provide professional customer service to enhance client experience
• Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections

Requirements

• Must be registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence, with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
• Minimum of six months commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months commercial driving experience in food and/or beverage delivery
• Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
• Must be able to read and communicate in English to understand traffic signs, respond to inquiries, and complete reports

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull 20 to 80+ lbs repetitively during each shift
• Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather with frequent stops (10+ per shift)

Pay

The expected base rate for this role is between $29.00 and $32.00 per hour, depending on relevant experience, skills, and geographic location.
