CDL Field Manager
Position Summary
The Field Manager supports location employees with daily operations, overseeing their responsibilities and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Core Duties / Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the propane distribution facility.
Conduct safety meetings and training sessions for staff.
Investigate and report safety incidents or violations.
Maintain and manage inventory.
Flexibly work up to 60% in a functional delivery or service role.
Serve as a point of contact for customer inquiries and complaints.
Create and manage work schedules, addressing employee issues and conflicts.
Manage logistics for propane distribution, coordinating with suppliers and vendors.
Develop and manage the facility's budget, monitor expenses, and prepare operational reports.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and foster a positive work environment.
Experience/Education
Required Education: High School Diploma / GED, bachelor's degree in business management preferred.
Required Work Experience: 3+ years of proven work experience in propane distribution or related field, minimum 2 years in supervisory role.
Additional Knowledge/Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft applications, good phone skills and computer literacy, ability to communicate effectively, strong leadership and management skills, knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards, strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, and a commitment to customer service and safety.
Physical/Working Requirements
Work from an office/facility location environment.
Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to position, transport, lift and/or move up to 80 pounds at a time.
Stand, walk, move across large areas.
Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl or otherwise reach into confined spaces.
Communicate with and exchange information verbally and in writing.
Move about in an office environment.
Operate a motor vehicle up to 46% of the time in either a delivery or service capacity.
Frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, moving mechanical parts, hand tools and small to medium-sized power tool use, electrical shock, non-toxic propane fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals.
