CDL Driver / Warehouse Associate

About the role

CDL Drivers make safe, complete, accurate and on-time deliveries to customers while complying with Department of Transportation (DOT) and other applicable regulations. In this role the driver will also work in warehouse receiving/pulling orders in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Make deliveries using the most effective route to ensure orders are delivered on time
• Load and unload the vehicle, ensuring that all products are properly secured, and hazardous material is separated appropriately
• Collect payments and accurately document delivery
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR))
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and inform supervisor of any maintenance needed
• Accurately pulls, fills, packs and sets up orders for delivery or pickup
• Receives shipments, logs into inventory, maintains inventory through audits
• Communicates positively with supervisors, sales staff, fellow workers and customers to coordinate deliveries/pick-up
• Operates a forklift safely and efficiently, maintains required certification, performs vehicle safety checks and reports discrepancies to supervisor
• Assists in keeping facility clean, neat, safe and operating efficiently
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 21 years old
• A valid commercial driver's license, preferably with HAZMAT endorsement
• A Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) indicating no more than 2 combined violations or at fault accidents in the past 3 years
• The ability to maneuver heavy objects that can weigh up to 100 pounds
• Excellent customer service skills
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• To carry out instructions with minimal supervision

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with PCs and other material handling equipment
• Moffett, Skelly or Air Brake experience
• Tractor Trailer, Flatbed, and Box Truck experience

$24 / hour plus bonuses. Dayshift.
