Driver CDL/Warehouse Associate

About the Role

Join Mondelēz International/NABISCO as a Driver CDL/Warehouse Associate located in Streetsboro, OH. This position is represented by a labor union and is a combo role, allowing time on the road as well as time preparing trucks for other drivers. Flexibility is required to perform both roles throughout the year based on business needs.

Schedule

• Monday–Saturday (5 days a week with 1 weekday off)
• Shifts are 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week
• Start times range from midnight to 7 a.m. depending on whether the shift is warehouse or driving
• Specific start times may vary

Service Area

Intrastate and Interstate routes covering Cleveland, Northern PA, Pittsburgh, Western PA, West Virginia, Canton, Kenton OH, and everywhere in between.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with procedures and conduct regular safety checks on warehouse equipment to prioritize safety.
• Complete daily field service activities, including preparing customer invoices, truck logs, and maintenance records.
• Perform all duties as scheduled by Foreman and Supervisor.
• Coordinate with retail customers and receiving personnel in delivery areas; communicate customer needs to the customer service team.
• Participate in warehouse activities, including truck unloading, stock counting, order processing, and maintaining warehouse organization.
• Perform order picking, palletizing, and loading/unloading delivery trucks.
• Ensure compliance with procedures and conduct regular safety checks of equipment (tractor, trailer, pallet jack, etc.).
• Accurately assemble and load products on delivery trucks in a timely manner.
• Maintain an accurate running inventory.
• Adhere to safety and quality checks to protect staff and products.
• Follow schedules and instructions from the Route Manager or Dispatch for efficient operations.
• Record, report, and return defective items per company policy.
• Accept, verify, inspect, and record all deliveries and shipments.
• Use a smart phone and electronic logging device (ELD) for logging driving times, and proficiently use a scanner for deliveries.
• Be flexible with daily changing routes and working times.

Requirements

• Must have a CDL-Class A license and at least one year of proven safe driving experience.
• Have a valid REAL ID driver's license, U.S. passport, or federal ID. This role services a military base facility where federal ID is required for access.
• Capable of performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced work environment with various physical activities including lifting, bending, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
• Capable of passing requirements for relevant licenses to operate equipment.
• Strong adaptability to take on diverse responsibilities and perform other assigned duties.
• Willingness to work in outdoor weather conditions and varying temperatures.
• Must successfully pass a drug test, MVR, and background check.
• FMCSA Clearinghouse Registration required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct store delivery (DSD) experience.
• Experience with forklifts and/or pallet jacks.

Pay

Hourly pay rate: $31.05 per hour
