CDL B w/HazMat-Fuel Delivery Driver

Become part of a team of drivers delivering fuel products throughout upstate New York. We service residential, commercial, municipal, resale and wholesale accounts.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, secure, transport, deliver and unload gasoline, oil and propane products to and from specified destinations.
• Follow the route and time schedule provided by the Dispatcher.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures 100% of the time.
• Complete daily and monthly paperwork requirements to ensure compliance with company standards and protection of its assets.
• Work in outdoor weather conditions with exposure to oil and/or propane fumes and the elements.
• Follow all DOT and HazMat regulations, and Buell Fuels safety standards.
• Demonstrate safe operation of the assigned vehicle, including pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Inform customers of new products and services.
• Participate in required job training and safety meetings.
• Communicate all service issues properly to the mechanic and dispatcher.
• Maintain an environmentally compliant work space.
• Report to work as scheduled with minimal absenteeism or tardiness.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 1 year CDL-B with tank and HazMat endorsement.
• Willingness to obtain TWIC card.
• Ability to pass DOT certified physical examination (maximum every two years).
• Pre-employment drug testing required; random ongoing drug testing while employed.
• Good customer service skills and rapport with people.
• Self-motivated with a sense of urgency and strong work ethic.
• Positive attitude.
• Basic math skills to calculate proper loading and delivery of products.
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds, bend, kneel, stoop, and reach.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule; shifts approximately 10 hours, may vary; overtime after 40 hours.
• Ability to reliably commute or relocate before starting work.

Pay

$29.00 - $34.00 per hour

Schedule

• Full-time, hourly position
• Shifts approximately 10 hours (may be more or less depending on deliveries)
• Overtime pay after 40 hours
• Home daily
