CDL A w/HazMat-Fuel Delivery Driver

About the role

Buell Fuel is a fast-growing, family-owned company based in Deansboro, New York. We serve various customers including residential, commercial, municipal, resale, and wholesale accounts. Our mission is to provide top-notch service and competitive pricing.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, secure, transport, deliver, and unload gasoline, oil, and propane products to and from specified destinations.
• Follow the route and time schedule provided by the Dispatcher.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures 100% of the time.
• Complete daily and monthly paperwork requirements to ensure compliance with company standards and protect assets.
• Work in outdoor weather conditions with exposure to oil and propane fumes and the elements.
• Follow DOT and HazMat regulations and Buell Fuels' safety standards.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections as needed.
• Communicate service issues to the mechanic and dispatcher.
• Maintain an environmentally compliant work space.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, bend, kneel, stoop, and reach to perform duties.
• Report to work as scheduled with minimal absenteeism or tardiness.

Requirements

• This is an hourly position with shifts typically lasting around 10 hours but can vary.
• Flexible scheduling is required.
• Willingness to work overtime and additional shifts is expected.
• Must be willing to obtain a TWIC card.
• Minimum requirements include a CDL-A with tank and HazMat endorsements, and a desire to learn tanker delivery.
• Must pass a DOT-certified physical examination every two years.
• Must be self-motivated, have a positive attitude, and be able to use basic math skills for product calculations.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions and handle oil and propane fumes.
• Must be safety-focused and able to demonstrate safe vehicle operation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least one year of CDL-A with tank and HazMat endorsements.
• Ability to pass DOT certified physical examination every two years.

Pay

$30.00 - $34.00 per hour.
