CDL B - Truck Driver
About the role
Richards Building Supply Co. is seeking a CDL Class B Driver for their Rockford, IL location. The ideal candidate should have a CDL Class B License with an Air Brake Endorsement or a CDL Class A driver’s license with 1 year of CDL Class B driving experience or 2 years of CDL Class A driving experience. Moffett and flatbed operating experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Safely deliver products to job sites
- Physically unload material per customer's request
- Receive materials in the warehouse
- Load trucks
- Process inventory
Requirements
- CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement or CDL Class A driver’s license
- 1 year CDL Class B driving experience or 2 years CDL Class A driving experience
- Moffett and flatbed operating experience strongly preferred
- Current DOT medical card
- Clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day
- Lift materials over 100 lbs. may be required
- Must pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day
- Some lifting over 100 lbs. will be required
- Load trucks with material scheduled for the day’s deliveries within compliance of securing and distributing weight limits according to DOT regulations
- Unload trucks and receive merchandise at warehouse
- Move materials and items from receiving to its designated area
