CDL B - Truck Driver
About the role
Richards Building Supply Co. is seeking a CDL Class B Driver for their Michigan City, IN location. The ideal candidate must have a CDL Class B with Air Brake endorsement or a CDL Class A license with 1 year of CDL Class B driving experience or 2 years of CDL Class A driving experience. Flatbed and moffett/boom truck experience is preferred but training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Safely deliver products to job sites
- Physically unload material per customer's request
- Receive materials in the warehouse
- Load trucks
- Process inventory
Requirements
- CDL Class B with Air Brake Endorsement or CDL Class A driver’s license
- 1 year CDL Class B driving experience or 2 years CDL Class A driving experience
- Flatbed with moffett and/or boom truck experience desired, but will train
- Ability to drive a manual transmission
- Current DOT medical card
- Clean driving record
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to lift 50-100 lbs. of material throughout the day
- Lifts over 100 lbs. may be required
- Loads trucks with material within DOT regulations
- Unloads trucks and receives merchandise at warehouse
- Move materials and items from receiving to designated area
Qualifications
- Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment DOT drug screen
