CDL B Driver (Local)
About the role
We are hiring a CDL B Driver in Albertville, AL. This position involves loading, unloading, and returning compressed gas cylinders and Dewars while frequently connecting with Airgas customers.
Responsibilities
- Consistent routine: Monday-Friday 6:30am start time to help our team and customers
- Enjoy a stable schedule averaging 40 hours per week
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Load and unload the truck daily with gas cylinders, Dewars & supplies
- Nurture courteous & professional relationships with customers
- Safely secure and unsecure cylinders
- Complete deliveries on customer property sites using a hand cart
Requirements
- Valid Class A or B CDL with HAZMAT (or able to obtain it within 60 days from hire date) & Airbrake endorsements
- Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card & endorsements
- No more than two (2) traffic convictions: OR two (2) at-fault accident in the last 3 years; or no more than a combination of one (1) traffic conviction and one (1) at-fault accident in the last 3 years
- No driving while under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance within the last seven (7) years
- Be able to work in a drug-free environment
- Able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with the aid of material handling equipment
- Have 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or be able to provide proof of a certificate of completion from trucking school completed in the last 12 months

- 2 years of CDL A experience
