About the role
TransForce is seeking a Class A Yard Switcher to support local operations. You will operate DOT road-legal tandem-axle yard trucks between the warehouse and a customer plant approximately 0.4 miles away.
Schedule
Rotating 3 days on / 3 days off and 4 days on / 4 days off, Thursday–Saturday plus alternating Wednesdays. Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
Pay
$28 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Operate yard switcher equipment
- Connect and back trailers
- Drive between warehouse and customer plant
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Class A driving experience
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years)
- Strong customer-service orientation and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
