Responsibilities
- Movements and operation of tractor/trailer
- Walks the yard to identify and document vehicle defects
- Communicates maintenance needs to Transportation Manager daily
- Records odometer, hub readings, and engine hours from equipment and sends to lease company weekly
- Ensures trailers loaded with refrigerated products are at an adequate temperature
- Aids in unloading trailers when necessary
- Repositions tractor/trailers on the yard to and from docks
- Complies with Domino’s Chock, Safety Cone, and Dock Signal Light policy
- Shuttles tractor/trailers to and from logistic suppliers
- Assists with backhauls and may assist Drivers on a designated route(s)
- Listsens to and assists management and Drivers
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 21 years old
- Six months of verifiable CMV driving experience, one year preferred
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Air Brakes
- Maintains a DOT Med Cert
- Meets defined MVR standards to remain qualified to drive company commercial motor vehicle
- Passes a background check every three years on anniversary date
- Available to work flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as short notice
Qualifications
- Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time
- Climb stairs
- Lift up to 50 lbs. frequently and 100 lbs. on occasion
- Perform heavy pushing/pulling of product
- Work in refrigerated conditions [33-38 degrees]
- Work in outdoor weather [rain, sleet, heat, snow, etc.]
- Work in an environment with exposure to loud machinery
