CDL A Yard Driver

Pay

Hourly Pay: $30.30

Schedule

Shift: Sunday – Thursday, 9 am – 5 pm. Flexibility on start time (up to one hour earlier or later). Must be able to work weekends if needed. Overtime is mandatory as needed.

Responsibilities

• Reposition company commercial tractors and trailers on designated non‑highway yard areas, including backing trailers to dock doors.
• Shuttle tractors/trailers to and from logistic/lease companies as required.
• Walk the yard to identify and document vehicle defects in the DVCR booklet and communicate maintenance needs to D&S Team Leaders daily.
• Obtain tractor/trailer lists from D&S, record odometer, hub readings, and engine hours, and send reports to the lease company weekly.
• Ensure refrigerated trailers (e.g., cheese, chicken) maintain adequate temperature.
• Provide trailers to Warehouse Team Members for loading/unloading and assist with unloading when necessary.
• Reposition tractors/trailers between yard and docks.
• Comply with Domino’s Chock, Safety Cone, and Dock Signal Light policy.
• Shuttle tractors/trailers to and from the logistic supplier.
• Take trailers for washing and cleaning.
• Assist with backhauls.
• May be assigned to assist Drivers on designated routes to unload products to Domino’s stores.
• Listen to and promptly assist management and Drivers.
• Wear and follow Domino’s uniform standards at all times.
• Attend scheduled safety, team meetings, and training sessions.
• Follow all local, state, federal, and Domino’s safety rules, policies, and procedures.
• Complete classroom instruction facilitated by the Delivery and Service Team Leader covering relevant safety and accident procedures.
• Complete necessary paperwork and maintain DVIR booklets.
• Comply with DOT log regulations.
• Be accountable for the vehicle and product.
• Clock in and out using the timekeeping and PeopleNet system.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Six months of verifiable CMV driving experience (one year preferred).
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Air Brakes.
• Maintain a DOT medical certificate.
• Meet defined MVR standards to remain qualified to drive a company commercial motor vehicle.
• Successfully pass a background check every three years on the anniversary date.
• Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on short notice.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods.
• Climb stairs and lift up to 50 lb frequently, and up to 100 lb on occasion.
• Perform heavy pushing/pulling of product.
• Work in refrigerated conditions (33‑38 °F) and outdoor weather (rain, sleet, heat, snow, etc.).
• Exposure to loud machinery as needed.
