Job Description JOB DETAILS Base pay starts at $25.00-$30.00 per hour DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES A CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) truck driver plays a crucial role in the transportation and logistics industry. The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. There will be up to two nights over the road that will take place two to five times out of the year. Transport goods to various destinations, often across state linesLoad, secure, and unload cargo safelyMaintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of working hours and miles drivenPerform regular inspections and maintenance of the truck to ensure it is in good working conditionAdhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policiesRoute Planning: Use GPS and other tools to plan efficient routesCoordinate with dispatchers and communicate effectively with clients and co-workersMonitor traffic and weather conditions to ensure safe driving practices Qualifications Class A Commercial Driver's LicenseClean driving recordMinimum of two years experience as a truck driver, preferably with long-haul drivingAbility to pass a drug screen and background checkWillingness to tarp and strap flatbed loadsExperience operating trailer mounted forkliftFamiliarity with electronic equipment and software, such as GPS and AVL unitsAbility to handle the physical demands of the job, including loading and unloading cargo Additional Information Site Address: 490 Oak Rd, Ocala, FL 34472 Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands?
