Responsibilities

  • Drive and operate tractors/trailers, over the road, in a safe and efficient manner while making store delivery and/or vendor pick-ups.
  • Skillfully back up trailers into all types of dock and yard locations as well as hooking and unhooking trailers.
  • Complete logs, trip reports, bills of lading, etc. as required by the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Target.
  • Perform routine safety inspections of vehicles.
  • Focus on safety procedures and protocols.
  • Complete job tasks assigned accurately and on time to deliver on our promises to Target vendors and guests.

Requirements

  • Maintains positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment.
  • Able to lift and carry materials/equipment up to 30 lbs frequently and able to lift and carry equipment up to 60 lbs infrequently.
  • Able to work independently to quickly and safely resolve problems.
  • Understand the functions of tractors and trailers and their systems, with the specific ability to complete pre and post-trip inspections, including brakes.
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or ability to obtain.
  • Able to pass all of the Department of Transportation (DOT) tests and screening process.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with all applicable DOT regulations.

  • Passes all of the Department of Transportation (DOT) tests and screening process.

Skills

  • Understanding of tractor and trailer functions and systems.
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Pay

$31.90 USD per hour. You may also earn additional compensation in the form of a shift differential, ranging from $2.00 to $3.50 per hour, based on eligibility. Pay is based on several factors which vary based on position. These include labor markets and in some instances may include education, work experience and certifications.
