This is a local route position using CDL A equipment and yard-switching equipment, handling no-touch freight.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate CDL A equipment on local routes and in the yard
  • Perform yard-switching and spotting duties
  • Transport equipment in accordance with DOT and safety standards
  • Complete required pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams
  • Meet the physical demands of the role

Requirements

  • Valid CDL Class A license
  • 2+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience
  • Recent yard-switching experience
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record with no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years
  • Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements

Pay

Pay: $29 per hour. Overtime: Paid after 40 hours.

Schedule

Schedule: Friday through Tuesday. Start time: 5:00 a.m. Shift length: 10–12 hours. Weekend assignment: Spotting for four hours on Saturday and four hours on Sunday. Remaining scheduled shifts: Driving.
