CDL-A OTR Trainee - Paid Training

About the role

We are hiring new CDL‑A drivers for dry van OTR runs operating out of Lubbock, Slaton, Idalou and the South Plains. You’ll run across 27 states from Colorado east, with no New England or Northeast routes, meaning wide‑open interstate driving rather than city gridlock. Expect 1,800–2,400 miles per week, a mix of drop‑and‑hook, preload and live‑load freight, and be home every 2 to 3 weeks with the option to request holidays off.

Responsibilities

• Operate an assigned Freightliner tractor‑trailer (automatic or 10‑speed, ~1.5 years old, most with APU/inverter, EZ‑Pass and PrePass included)
• Run dry van OTR routes across the 27‑state region (Colorado east, no New England/Northeast)
• Log 1,800–2,400 miles weekly
• Perform drop‑and‑hook, preload and live‑load operations
• Maintain DOT compliance and complete required paperwork
• Request home time every 2–3 weeks and take holidays as needed

Requirements

• Class A CDL
• Age 21 or older
• 2 or fewer moving violations in the past 2 years
• No DUI/DWI in the last 10 years
• Pass DOT physical, hair and urine drug test
• New CDL graduates are welcome
