Job Location: Joliet, Illinois – Local route, no-touch freight, automatic transmission.
About the Role
- Picking up and delivering containers at rail yards
- Ensure safe, timely, and incident-free transport
- Provide positive, safe, and professional customer experiences
- Maintain strong communication and rapport with customers
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A vehicle
- Drop and hook, lock down, and safely transport rail containers
- Work 11-12 hours per day
- Maintain open communication with dispatch
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
- Transport equipment in accordance with DOT and company safety standards
Requirements
- CDL A license with 1+ years of recent CDL A intermodal experience
- Hazmat endorsement required
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no recent major violations or preventable DOT-reportable accidents)
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements
Schedule
- Sunday – Thursday or Tuesday – Saturday
- 3 shifts available: 3am (1), 5am (1), or 5pm (2)
- 11-12 hours per day
Pay
$38/hr (straight time, no overtime) + $1/hr additional for Hazmat endorsement.
