Local CDL A flatbed driver position based in Frederick, MD. Monday–Friday schedule (some Saturdays), 1st shift, home daily.
About the role
- Steady local work transporting bags of mulch, fertilizer, lawn conditioner, etc.
- No-touch freight; handling limited to strapping and unstrapping loads.
- Automatic transmission tractor-trailer flatbed equipment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate CDL A flatbed on local routes.
- Transport lawn-care materials in accordance with DOT and company safety standards.
- Perform required handling tasks including strapping and unstrapping.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations.
- Meet the physical demands of the role (lifting, climbing, strapping, tarping, etc.).
Requirements
- Valid CDL A license.
- 1+ years of recent, relevant, and verifiable driving experience.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no major traffic violations or preventable accidents in the last 3 years).
- Must meet all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
- Flatbed equipment experience.
Pay
- $27 per hour.
- Estimated weekly pay: $1,200–$1,300.
