CDL A Driver Hazmat

About the role

We are hiring a CDL A Driver Hazmat in Richmond, VA for the position of a CDL A Driver Hazmat. The position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a driver of tractor-trailer vehicles with a Class A CDL and HazMat endorsement. Additional qualifications include familiarity with or a desire to learn about cryogenic, compressed, and specialty gases.

Responsibilities

• Drive Commercial Motor Vehicle (Tractor-trailer) combination, usually long distances, to transport and off-load compressed and liquefied industrial gases to customers or to storage sites in a safe, timely, accurate, and courteous manner.
• Perform pre & post trip inspections to identify any maintenance action that may be required and act appropriately if action is needed.
• Report all accidents, possible injuries, safety issues, driving citations, and customer complaints to include service interruptions immediately to their supervisor.
• Complete and submit reports as required by the DOT and/or Airgas company policy.
• Drive tractor-trailer to deliver industrial gases to customers or storage sites.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and address maintenance needs.
• Report accidents, safety issues, citations, and customer complaints immediately.
• Complete required DOT and company reports.

Requirements

To meet safety standards, you are at least 21 years of age. You must have 3+ years of experience as a driver of tractor-trailer vehicles. Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements are required.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should ideally have three (3) years of Haz-Mat or Tanker experience. A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred, along with two years of technical college or military technical experience.

Skills

Familiarity with or a desire to learn about cryogenic, compressed, and specialty gases is welcomed.

Pay

Quarterly Incentive Bonus $2,000 Driver Referral Bonus (unlimited)

Nights and Weekends Required - Occasional lay-over (2-3 Consecutive Off Days/Week)
