About the role

The Driver – CDL (A) operates heavy commercial trucks to provide prompt and courteous delivery and removal of large containers. Responsibilities include performing pre- and post-operation inspections, safely operating the vehicle, adhering to regulations, completing VCRs, and performing minor repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle
• Report any safety issues on standard reports
• Safely operate the vehicle along designated routes
• Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse
• Dispose of collected material at the designated facility
• Courteously interact with all customers, dispatchers, and others
• Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers
• Monitor waste for unacceptable waste
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports
• Maintain adherence to productivity standards
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures
• Participate in the Company’s ReSOP program

Requirements

• Class A Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement
• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred
• Good customer service skills
• Good time management skills
• Good follow through ability
• Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules
