About the role

The Driver – CDL (A) operates heavy commercial trucks to provide prompt and courteous delivery and removal of large containers. Responsibilities include performing pre- and post-operation inspections, safely operating vehicles, lifting and loading refuse, disposing of collected material, interacting with customers, and completing various reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle
• Safely operate heavy truck along designated route
• Read route sheet, follow map, and service customers as identified
• Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports
• Maintain adherence to required productivity standards
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures
• Participate in the Company’s ReSOP program

Requirements

• Class A Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement
• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred
• Good customer service skills
• Good time management skills
• Good follow through ability
• Ability to adhere to Company policies and rules
• Ability to perform minor repairs to containers

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Class A Commercial Driver’s license with air brakes endorsement
• Two years of prior experience driving commercial trucks preferred
