About the role
The CDL-A Delivery Driver position is a critical role in the country's food supply chain. This role involves driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on various routes to deliver and unload food and food-related products to customers.
Responsibilities
- Perform all required safety checks, including inspections of the vehicle and trailer according to DOT regulations.
- Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
- Follow DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
- Immediately report any and all safety hazards.
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
- Perform count check of items and verify customer invoices of products that have been loaded.
- Complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly.
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns and bring them to the driver check-in area, completing necessary paperwork and procedures at the end of the shift.
- Unload all equipment, materials, and remove trash from trailers as required.
- Comply with daily record-keeping and hours of service requirements, adhering to DOT, state, and company policies.
- Uphold overall safety standards and follow guidelines for the proper handling of freight throughout the delivery process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- 6+ or 12+ months commercial driving experience
- Valid CDL-A
- Must be 21+ years of age
- Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- Pass road test
- Able to attain or have a valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure a new DOT Health Card
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout the shift; product generally ranges from between 10-35 pounds and up to between approximately 60 and 90 pounds, depending on the location.

Pay
$30.90 per hour
Schedule
Primarily Monday- Friday, with limited regional overnight routes as needed. Newer equipment with liftgate trailers. All routes are equipped with electric pallet jacks. 80% drop-and-go pallet deliveries.
