About the role
We are seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver to join our team in Rockford, IL. The schedule is flexible, typically Monday through Friday, starting as early as 3 am, with shifts that may vary.
Responsibilities
- Build relationships with customers across various sectors including restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities.
- Assist in all functions, covering day, night, overnight, and transit routes.
- Unload cases weighing up to 100 lbs using a ramp and two-wheeler.
- Work as vacation relief for our regular sales service drivers, chain delivery drivers, and transit positions.
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- Class A CDL License
- Able to operate a two-wheel cart with loads up to 350 pounds
- Able to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Successfully pass a drug test assessing drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
- Clean driving record as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
- Registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent for employment

The average pay range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000 annually, with daily base pay and component pay based on miles driven, stops made, and cases delivered.
