CDL-A Dedicated Flatbed Driver

Flint Logistics LLC · Birmingham, AL · 1 mo ago
Management$100/hrFull-time

About the role

This position is for CDL-A drivers experienced in flatbed and steel hauling. Dedicated stainless‑steel freight originates near Calvert, Alabama, with backhaul planning used after deliveries to keep freight moving and avoid unnecessary empty miles. Drivers haul smaller stainless‑steel coils and flat stainless‑steel sheets on outbound loads; most freight is live loaded and live unloaded. Approximately 75% of loads require tarping using lightweight six‑foot drop tarps. Available backhaul freight (e.g., lumber, insulation) is selected to move drivers efficiently toward Alabama and the next customer load. Assigned equipment includes newer‑model Kenworth T680 tractors paired with 2025 Extreme 48‑foot flatbed trailers equipped with 12 winches, straps, and two six‑foot drop tarps, with the same trailer staying with the driver throughout the trip. The role is based in Birmingham, AL 35203.
