CDL-A Dedicated Flatbed Driver

About the role

This dedicated account gives experienced flatbed drivers a consistent freight cycle built around stainless-steel hauling. Outbound customer freight originates near Calvert, Alabama, while planned backhaul opportunities help maintain productive miles and move drivers back toward the next dedicated load.

Responsibilities

• Haul smaller stainless-steel coils and flat stainless-steel sheets.
• Perform live loading and live unloading; approximately 75% of loads require tarping.
• Use two lightweight six-foot drop tarps, straps, and winches for securement.
• Handle return freight such as lumber, insulation, or other flatbed commodities.
• Utilize planned backhauls to reduce empty miles and support the weekly operating schedule.

Requirements

• Valid CDL‑A license.
• Minimum one year OTR experience within the last five years.
• Minimum six months flatbed experience.
• Steel‑hauling experience required.
• Current coil‑hauling certification.
• Tarping and load‑securement experience.
• Acceptable driving record.

Skills

• Tarping and load securement.
• Coil handling and stainless‑steel sheet handling.
• Operation of winches, straps, and six‑foot drop tarps.

Benefits

• $5,000 sign‑on bonus available to qualified drivers.
• Paid orientation: Monday–Thursday, $100 per day.
• Hotel accommodations, meals, and travel arrangements provided for orientation.

Pay

$2,000 to $2,100 per week.

Schedule

Home time every weekend with a 34‑hour reset.
