About the role
The fellowship offers an opportunity for a recent or upcoming doctoral graduate to gain practical experience in conducting economic, epidemiological, and statistical analyses within a public health context.
Responsibilities
- Conduct systematic reviews of literature on the cost-effectiveness of diabetes prevention and management interventions.
- Assess medical costs associated with diabetes and related complications using various data sources.
- Develop and utilize computer simulation models to project the long-term health and economic impacts of diabetes prevention and management strategies.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a completed doctoral degree and a strong background in advanced statistics and econometrics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also essential.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in relevant fields within the last 60 months or anticipated to be received by 9/1/2026.
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.50.
- Experience and knowledge in advanced statistics and econometrics.
- Experience with large and complex data sets.
- Experience using statistical software such as SAS or Stata.

Benefits
The participant will receive a stipend ranging from $6,358.00 to $7,658.00 per month, depending on numerous factors.

Schedule
Full-time appointment starting September 1, 2026, with flexibility based on availability.
