Johns Hopkins Carey Business School invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship in information systems, with a focus on digital health. About the Role

We seek candidates interested in studying the social, behavioral, and economic interactions underlying the use of digital technologies, analytics, and artificial intelligence in the healthcare sector. Ideal candidates will have a strong disciplinary theoretical background and a motivation to contribute to building a world-class business school at a premier private university.

Qualifications

  • PhD degree in business, computer science, informatics, social sciences (preferably sociology, psychology, or economics), public health, or a related field, conferred by the employment start date.
  • Demonstrated strong commitment to academic research.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct collaborative research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, digital technology, and healthcare delivery, management, and policy.
  • Publish research findings in top-tier academic journals and present at leading conferences in IS, management, AI, and healthcare.
  • Contribute to grant writing and funding proposals to support ongoing and new research initiatives.
  • Collaborate with faculty, students, and industry partners on interdisciplinary projects that translate AI innovation into healthcare and business impact.
  • Mentor undergraduate, graduate, and PhD students involved in AI and healthcare projects.
  • Assist in developing teaching materials and presentations.
  • Participate in research workshops, symposiums, and conferences hosted by the Center for Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence (CDHAI).
  • Support outreach efforts engaging industry, government, and non-profit organizations in AI and healthcare initiatives.

Pay

The salary range for this position represents the minimum and maximum based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training, and other relevant considerations.
