CDBG and Grants Manager

Responsibilities

• Manages the City’s annual CDBG entitlement allocation and other HUD funding.
• Facilitates the application for and manages other state and federal funding as needed.
• Oversees allocation of CDBG funding to City projects and public services.
• Captures public services funded through CDBG, including applications, contracts, reporting and monitoring, cost reimbursements and financial tracking.
• Processes and tracks CDBG expenditures on City infrastructure and public facilities projects, including coordination with other City departments involved in projects.
• Captures and runs public meetings and hearings.
• Researches additional potential funding sources for future City projects and coordinates necessary application submission materials.
• Coordinates and runs environmental review compliance for CDBG funded activities and projects.
• Serves as an internal authority on Federal CDBG rules and regulations, advising Senior Administration on allowed use of this funding source; provides guidance on best use of CDBG funds.
• Works with staff to develop program materials for CDBG-funded city programs.

Requirements

• Any equivalent combination of the below-listed education, training, certification, and experience, is qualifying:
• Bachelor’s degree in financial management or related field.
• 1 to 3 years of related experience.
