Regional Manager
About the role
The Regional Manager is responsible for the financial performance and success of a portfolio of apartment communities in a given geographic area. Key responsibilities include recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating a team of Community Managers, ensuring all staff members provide the highest level of service to residents, meeting budgeted income, expense, and leasing goals for each community, collaborating with owner/investment partners to maintain and improve asset value, reviewing the monthly financial operations of each Community Manager, evaluating conditions to determine unit prices align with market and budget goals, assisting Community Managers in developing and reviewing annual marketing plans, and working with the team to shop competitors in person.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate a team of Community Managers
- Ensure all staff members provide the highest level of service to residents
- Maintain and improve asset value through collaboration with owner/investment partners
- Evaluate conditions to determine unit prices align with market and budget goals
- Aid Community Managers in developing and reviewing annual marketing plans
- Shop competitors in person every quarter with the Community Manager
Requirements
- BA/BS in business or related field required
- Minimum 3 years of multi-site apartment experience, with a minimum portfolio of 1,500 units of 4 or more properties
- Third-party fee management experience preferred
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Available to travel, work weekdays, evenings, and weekends
- Physical requirements: walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting up to 30 lbs.; ability to work with mechanical and electrical equipment, as well as hazardous materials; comfortable with heights and moving heavy objects
